Budget Paris Hotel

Hi

I am travelling to paris in november looking for accomodation for 3 nights. I know its alot to ask but in my mind i have a picture of a small french family run hotel maybe above a cafe or pastry shop in a small street near to the centre of paris. Not too far from the main attractions with a typical french interior.

any suggestions?

Hey - you%26#39;ll get more (and better) responses if you include what your idea fo %26quot;budget%26quot; is. In other words, how much do you want to pay a night?

When I read your description, the hotels on Ile Saint Louis came to mind (e.g., Hotel de Lutece) but they may be too expensive.

We would like to spend between 60-80 euros per night, i know this isnt much but we are on a budget.

I was hoping to find a small cafe / restaraunt with a few rooms above.

This one is my favourite. But it is far from central, being in the unfashionable 19e, but only three stops by metro line 5 from Gare du Nord. However it is only yards from the metro Laumiere, and the other end of Av Laumiere is the excellent parc des Buttes Chaumont. The hotel sits on top of the restaurant Le Laumiere, but the establishments are not connected.

Hotel les Degres de Notre Dame has an excellent location and also a restaurant (though I believe the cuisine is not French)..

Then there is one in the Gobelins area with a restaurant . .

Hotel le Vert Galant

the restaurant is the Etchegorry:

I don%26#39;t think the setup you describe is common at all in Paris...
