Bordeaux to Milan in one day?

Is it practical to try to travel from Bordeaux to Milan in one day? Or should I plan to stop for one night in southern France? If so, ideas. Planning a family trip (2 adults and 2 kids, 14 %26amp; 17), mostly in France. I am thinking of ending our trip with a few days at Lake Como and flying home from Milan.

What is %26quot;practical%26quot; for you? The shortest route is over 1,000 km and 10 hours driving non-stop.
