hi all, i am pretty confused as to how to spend nights in paris, me and my partner (mid-20s are looking for bars that are lively, friendly (not too expensive), open fairly late and tourist friendly (as we dont speak great french) are there any particular areas / bars that you could recommend for a decent evening out?

Not sure about english/irish/american bars but you should check out the latin quarter as the student / uni area it has a lot of lively bars in parts.
