Im staying in Carcassonne for 3 nights next month and was wondering:
1. If there are any cheap / reasonably priced restaurants in the city walls or just outside (we wont have any transport). Looking at approx 20 euros for main course and a drink. The majority of restaurants mentioned seem to be quite expensive.
2. We will not land until Sunday evening and just wanted to know if all restaurants etc will be open on a sunday evening?
3. We are in self catering accommodation - are there any grocery stores etc in the city to buy food and drink for breakfast etc?
Many thanks for any advice

1. There are many restaurants available in the 20 - 25 euro range in Carcassonne. For instance Chez Fred is a good choice:

2. Restaurants generally do not accept additional patrons after about 9pm whether they remain open or not. There are several fast food locations available if you arrive after 9.
3. I really do not think you will find grocery stores open late on Sunday night. Early on Monday morning would be an assured option.

No chance of a store on Sunday night. You shouldn%26#39;t have any problems with restaurants, perhaps you should look in the lower town. If you%26#39;re staying in la Cite a 15 minute walk should take you to the lower town centre.
Reading your message more closely it might be less tiring to look for a restaurant in La cite. Not sure about prices but you will have plenty of choice.

Many Thanks for your help
