Soccer Match

I tried posting this twice in the %26#39;Europe%26#39; forum for an unbiased opinion but it did not work.

A group of friends and I are looking to attend a football game in either Prague, Munich, Amsterdam, or Paris. We would like the true European Football experience of loud cheering, great stadium, great team, amazing football-fever atmosphere (e.g. Barcelona or Real Madrid games).

Which of these cities would allow for such an experience and where can we purchase tickets for October?

Thanks!

I went to Paris last October and me and my brother decided to go to a Paris Saint Germain game vs Lyon, PSG lost 3-2 but it was amazing, we could not get tickets at the ticket booth but we found one of many touts all around the stadium and we got 2 tickets for 220 euros. Maybe a little steep i never got round to checking out what the face value was but it was vs Lyon (eventual champions) so it was worth the money!!

The atmosphere was electric and the fans really do participate in the game a lot more than English fans in my opinion. Even though they lost we experienced no trouble after the game and we will definately return (maybe against a not so popular team where ticket prices will be cheaper!!)

Have fun!

I will be watching my beloved %26quot;Les Bleus%26quot; Sept 10th,

and will try to get a ticket for PSG vs Nantes.

Specially with all the old timers signing up for PSG

this will be a great year for them and enjoyable to watch. Would%26#39;ve loved to see the Gunners but they play away from home and don%26#39;t want to wander too too

far from Paris on my first visit, so perhaps that will be next years plan.

See you there!

Also wouldn%26#39;t be cheaper to buy a PSG shirt here in

Canada than in France and the mighty Euro?

Thanks folks!

LeFrance, did you find that the games in Paris were very violent? I seem to be mostly torn debating between Paris in Amsterdam because of a few recommendations but Prague and Munich are not totally out of the question. Just that I will be in Munich during Oktoberfest and it is not likely that I will be able to attend a game there...but if its truly worth it I would find the time!

I second what LeFrance says..... i have been to see PSG twice at the Parc and both times there was a great friendly atmosphere and not a sign of violence anywhere. I know when if you see on the TV you see the fans lighting flares etc. you think maybe its a nasty atmosphere but it really is not!!

And Paris is unlike any other city so you guys will have a great time and see a great game too!
