Hello, what is the best way to get from the airport to the Les Cigales Hotel area? What are my options and how much should it cost? Thanks for any help!

In order for us to answer your question, you need to provided more information.

1. How many are in your party?

2. What is the address of the hotel?

3. Are you comfortable with using foreign public transportation?

2 people,

16, Rue Dalpozzo

06000 Nice, France, and

totally comfortable going on public transportation.

Mainly just want to find the fastest and cheapest way to get to the hotel. thanks.

Also, what time will you arrive at the airport?

In that case, I would recommend the Airport-Gare SNCF shuttle, Bus #99. It departs from Terminal 1 and 2 every 15 minutes. It will drop you off at the Nice train station, about 15 minutes from the hotel. It costs 4 Euro

I stayed at the Hotel les Cigales last year and took bus 98 instead. It is similar to bus 98 but goes along Promenade des Anglais to the bus station (Gare Routier) and the Port instead of to the train station. I think this is a shorter walk. Here is the schedule for #98:

It is similar to bus 99 - 4 euros (day pass). I asked at tourist information to locate the %26#39;bay%26#39; where it departed from.

Get off at the Congres/Promenade stop. I watched for the Hotel Negresso with its distinctive cupola and then rang for the next stop. It is right across from the Casino Ruhl. The bus can be crowded. I would recommend putting your luggage on the rack and standing near by. That makes it easy to get off. Also if you miss it, the next stop is at Albert 1st garden which isn%26#39;t that far away. It is an express so it does not stop to pick up passengers after leaving the airport - only stops for passengers that ring.

It is an easy walk from this location. Here is a map for it: http://tinyurl.com/69vlqp

Enjoy your stay.
