Paris to Brugge - train

We will be in Paris for 6 days next month then going to Brugge. Can anyone recommend the easiest %26amp; cheapest way to travel to Brugge on the train? Would we have to transfer trains in Brussels or somewhere along the way?

Is it best to book through Thalys or is there a better option?

Thanks in advance!

The trip from PARIS-Gare du Nord to BRUGES usually take about 2 1/2 hrs and most usually involves a high-speed THALYS train from PARIS-Gare du Nord to BRUXELLES-Midi station (approx 85 mins) and then a quick and easy transfer over to a Belgian regional train, onward to BRUGES (approx. 15 mins).

Thank you for the info!

So do you recommend its best to book directly on the Thalys website?

or is there another website with better prices?

wow, only 15 minutes from Brussels to Brugge?

With apologies for the travel time error..it%26#39;s approx. 65 mins from PARIS-Gare du Nord to BRUXELLES-Midi via THALYS..and approx. 80 mins from BRUXELLES-Midi onward to BRUGES via regional rail.

Check out the SNCF-French National Railways web site-

OR..the direct THALYS site--

Hi mensendamp,

Please see also the discussion at

Notice my comment there about %26quot;ABS extension%26quot; and someone%26#39;s suggestion to choose Paris-%26gt;Lille-%26gt;Brugge as the most economical solution
