Car Rental

Well the more I investigate Car Rental the harder it seems to get. We want to rent a car in Paris or outskirts (but renting on a Sunday we are leaving seems difficult), use for 19 days and return to either Nimes or Marseille. All the searching for promotions codes or coupons just seems to make it harder as not many of these are geared to France.

I do have an entertainment card and am a member of a number of FF programs (AA, Air France, Qantas). Any suggestions as to best way to get a good rate, we are 4 people (2 adults, 2 children) so probably need and intermediate or standard (the European midsize seems a pretty small car to me, many concerned with getting 4 bags in even though we will pack light!).

Thankks

Here is a list of rental brokers, those who arrange your rental with a rental company as a reduced price. These are usually the best option offering the lowest prices:

Here is a list of rental companies:

To offset the rental costs, I use insurance offered by my credit card company. If your credit card company does not offer collision coverage with using their car, you may want to investigate leasing, though it%26#39;s not as cost competitive as it once was:

Generally speaking, you will probably need a car the size of a Laguna or equivalent given 4 people and 4 bags. It%26#39;s easy to want to save money and end up with a car that is really to small for your needs.

Check both Kemwel and Autoeurope-they%26#39;re part of the same company as Europcar but have cheaper rates. We are the same size family as you and the car we got, some kind of standard Ford with a diesel engine, was plenty big for us and all of our luggage. The website will tell you what days and times the offices are open. We returned our car to a different office than where we picked it up because we returned Saturday night, but this was no problem.

Stevie my family and travelled to France twice in the last three years and both times leased a car from Renault. You will find the rates are great and you can arrange for a diesel powered car. The cost of Diesel is 205 less than petrol in France so that alone is a great saving. The car is brand new and insurance is covered.
