rush hour traffic

We will be arriving Tuesday Sept 3rd at 8:40 am and will be taking a taxi to our apartment in the 7th. We would like to miss the rush hour traffic as much as possible. We are willing to hang out at the airport for a while just so we can miss it.

Can someone give me an idea what times the majority of the rush hour will be? An idea on how long it will take to go through customs. Is there a place at the airport we can sit and have a cup of coffee before hailing a cab?

Hi --

I%26#39;m assuming that you%26#39;ll be landing at CDG - If your flight is on time, and there aren%26#39;t too many other flights landing at the same time, you%26#39;ll probably clear all the formalities by 9:30/9:45.

I expect that traffic will have calmed down by the time that you make your way to the taxi rank and get into a cab.

DO NOT HAIL A CAB. Let the taxi starter put you into an official taxi. You%26#39;ll have to wait a few minutes in the line-up, but you%26#39;ll have the assurance of a licensed driver and car.
