I am thinking about renting a summer cottage that must have 3 sleeping rooms in the Haute Provence Region next year. I have been in the Provence before and would like to be located somewhere between Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and Mont Ventoux. There are so many websites for booking that I am getting the more confused the more I look around.
I am searching for a %26quot;typical%26quot; Provence experience, not too touristy, a small, old village nearby would be nice, a good view (a cottage on a hill?) greatly appreciated. I don%26#39;t need bigger towns nearby, we will have cars to bring us anywhere we want to, the sea doesn%26#39;t have to be nearby. The holidays are meant to be relaxing, we will have an elderly couple accompanying us, so the place should be clean, easily accessible and quiet, it doesn%26#39;t have to be overly luxurious.
My questions: Is there any area I should specifically be looking for? Does anybody have any good experiences with a cottage that meets these requirements? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
