We are thinking of renting a flat for a week on west side of Marais (Rue Amelot)... to be in a %26quot;neighborhood%26quot; kind of area vs %26quot;touristy%26quot; but still able to get to the sights mostly by foot.
Does this seem doable?
Thanks!

Get a good map and take alook . Rue Amelot is a long street so where you are on it is a factor. Everything except site in the Marais look like a hefty hike to me. The metro and buses are so handy -use them. Check out www.ratp.com for routes

Thanks! It%26#39;s near the St Sebastian metro...looked a bit far out to me, but wasn%26#39;t sure...I like to walk..%26amp; wanted neighborhood restaurants.
