new year in cannes

Hi, we%26#39;re thinking of going to Cannes for the new year, any advice on where to eat, what goes on would be really helpfull.We do know Cannes but have never been at this time of the year, do you need to book a restaurant, can you get a full menu or does it tend to be a set meal as in the uk at the new year, is there any thing special going on and what%26#39;s it like just out on the streets. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi!

My parents go every new years eve to L%26#39;Auberge Provencale in Le Suquet (old town) Ambiance is nice, many regulars, lots of Italians, good food. You must book a table as it%26#39;s a quite small restaurant. Usually there is music and a dancefloor.

There will be a firework at 12.00 on the Croisette
