Im heading to Paris in a month or so, and was looking for abit of advice in relation to areas to stay in from the more frequent travellers to this location. Which areas are best for bars, restaurants and a more lively stay!! Also close to the main attractions and metro would also be a bonus. We are both in our late 20%26#39;s so something to suit this age group.Budget hotels are fine as long as they clean.

If you mean to go in September, the answer is stay wherever you can find a vacancy. September is not only a big tourist month it%26#39;s also the time for many of the %26quot;shows%26quot; textiles or fashion or whatever.
Do you folks from the UK run into a lot of dirty hotels? I%26#39;ve only ever been in one, and that was one of the most famous hotels in NYC. I%26#39;ve stayed in all sorts of hotels in Paris and never found so much as a single dust bunny.

You will never be more than about 400 meters from a metro station no matter where you stay, so transportation should not be a problem.
By your descriptive requirements, I should suggest you explore the hotels found in the 5th or 6th arrondissements. This area is exactly what you are looking for.
As has been stated, if you are looking for a hotel in September, it%26#39;s probably too late for the best properties as this is arguably the city%26#39;s busiest month. There are many good suggestions in recent posts about finding hotels during September so I should not waste any time in finding one.
