bus routes 82 + 112

Hi All,

Our ship will be tendering at Villefranche on a Sunday and we%26#39;re hoping to go to Nice and Eze. For Nice I know there are frequent bus and not so frequent trains and then from Nice to Eze we can take the 82 or 112 bus. Now we%26#39;re kind of stuck on how to get back to Villefranche from Eze without changing bus/trains. I looked on the bus route map and found that 82 and 112 have several stops between La Leopolda and Col de Villefranche but I have no idea whether or not any of them are walkable back to port. Anyone any ideas?

We don%26#39;t have long in this port and if we can get a more direct route back but involve more walking it would cause a lot less headache and anxiety!

Thank you!

You can walk steeply down hill from the Col de Villefranche to the port in 20/30 minutes but walking on the very narrow road is unpleasant and dangerous. Before the bus arrives at the Col crossroads, it passes the Fiance (Sorry, I can%26#39;t find the accents) du Pirate on the left. If you walk back past the hotel you will find some steps leading down to the right. Going down here there is a long series of steps which leads all the way to Villefranche. The steps don%26#39;t all link up in an obvious way but just keep going downhill and you will get there.

There is also a bus which goes from Riquier station to Villefranche via the Col but it doesn%26#39;t run very often. There is a stop at the Col where you can see the timetable.

from eze village, take the bus 83 to eze sur mer (not a lot) every one hour

and after take the bus 100, from eze sur mer to villefranche (every 20 min)

be careful no bus 112 on SUNDAY

Thanks for your replies! Now we have more options! :)

I%26#39;ve just had a look at this map: villefranche-sur-mer.org/pages/plan/planvill…

From the La Corne D%26#39;Or stop there seems to be steps %26quot;Esc. De Campo Quadro%26quot; going towards the port (I%26#39;m assuming the tender will drop us off at Port de la Sante). This appears to be a closer route on the map, but is this route possible? On googlemap these steps appear very narrow.

Thanks again!

Useful map. Yes, you can use those steps. All flights of steps in Villefranche are about six feet wide and are in good order.

Although more reliable than the trains, buses are not 100% on time, due to traffic and the occasional crash. I have met people who missed the ship because of this. I would prefer to rely on my feet if timing is tight!

Yes, you will arrive and depart at Port de la Sante.
