Hi Everyone,
Me and my partner will be visiting disneyland on 24th August(peak time). I am trying to gather information about the parks, but it seems very vast.
I have following queries:
1) It seems that main street USA does not have musch to spend time except disney parades. For viewing parade easily any particular places to stand ?Calander shows time 19.15 for the parade on 24th August.
2) Could any one help us by providing best rides, main attractions which must be covered keeping in mind that we have only one day to spend in disneyland.
3) Any tips to make best use of the time? I am planning to first get fast pass time slot for all the rides for which it is availble.
Please advice us as its our first time in paris and in disneland. Thanks very much.

There are two parades. One at 4pm. For that I would recommend standing close to %26quot;Its a Small World%26quot; in Fantasyland as the floats come out from there and as soon as the last float has gone you can then get onto some of the rides as there are less queues as people are still watching the parade further along the route.
For the evening parade anywhere around the central plaza has a good view.
Best rides are the ones that have the biggest queues usually. In Frontierland you are looking at Big Thunder Mountain and Phantom Manor. In Discoveryland Space Mountain Mission 2 and Buzz Lightyear. In Adventureland Indiana Jones, in Fantasyland Dumbo, PeterPan, Snow White.
I would use the park maps to plan your day and your route so you are not criss crossing the park (except perhaps to go get Fastpasses). Remember you cannot hold more than 1 fastpass for the same time slot but you can if the timeslots are different.

Can%26#39;t agree with Ruthie about the Snow White ride I%26#39;m afraid - I think it%26#39;s dire lol.
I do agree with viewing the parade by Smallworld though and if you can, stand up the top, where you queue, along the railings for an even better view :). Of course, it may be far to busy to do this. If you use Main Street try and stand next to a pillar - it will save you from getting squashed.
One of my favourite rides, and my daughters too, is Star Tours - it%26#39;s next to Pizza Planet food hall
Also, if you have time catch the Lion King show. I also enjoy the Tarzan show as it has in interactive part for the children
Whatever you do you will have fun!

And what about the pirates of the caribean.
I think that is a great ride.
Its left for the Peter Pan ride.

Thanks everyone for your valuable advices. I have some more doubts.
1) It will certainly be helpful if I get maps of disneyland so that we don%26#39;t waste time in searching the rides (where is this/that). I could not find any online.. will we get it only on entering the park?
2) I hope signboards will be there for each ride/attraction. Am I right?
3) By looking on its website, I suppose the entry will be from main street usa and then we will have to take any transport vehicle like train or something to go to other lands. Is it right? or all are just walkable?
I may be asking stupid questions but please advice as we have never been to any disney resort. Thanks again.

I can%26#39;t believe I forgot Pirates!!! And never usually very long queues unless at peak times due to the amount of people it can take.
I only put Snow White down as it always seems busy in Fantasyland - I think it focuses too much on the witch. Peter Pan my fave in Fantasyland.

OMG! I can%26#39;t believe i forgot it either lol
One of the best rides in the park
Maps can be found as you go in the entrance. There is transport - a train that will take you from one land to another but it does get full quickly and sometimes you can be in a land before the train is :)
As you are only going to be there for one day, I, personally, would just do Disney and not bother with the Studios. You could do them both but you would need to plan things exceptionally well
This is a copy of the map http://www.mickey-mouse.com/images/dlpmap.jpg that you can just about see but if you want to buy before you go try Ebay. Although you could get them free from the park, they are sold on Ebay for around 99p

But what about studio and the hotels of horror or what was the name again. That one was fabilouse I think and Nemo roller coaster, and that other roller coaster who also is there , And Visitor ukLondon is it the big rides only or would You like the smaller ones too ? So Much to see and so little time but You go without kids and have the hole day so with some planning.... You can make it.

Hi Mutter
Yes, those rides are very good although we haven%26#39;t ridden them as our daughter is not old enough and we didn%26#39;t wish to ride by ourselves doing the child swap
I would still say, do Disney park and if you must miss one, then make it the studios
