Reasonable lunch in Cite or where?

Does anyone have a recommendation for casual mid pirced lunch while in Carcassone for the day? It seems the restaurants in the walled City are very expensive due to location and being in nice hotels.

Does one have to walk into the new part of the city to find more reasonable restaurants?

Budget is about $75 per person for lunch without wine.

Bruce for that price you will find plenty of choice of very good 2/3 coarse meals with wine. you will get better value for money in the newer part of town and find some very nice resturants... But In july on baside day we had a meal in the old city ( prices seem to go up on that day.) there were 7 of us we had 2 coarses and lots of wine and perrier and we spent 40e each and that included a good tip.

There are lots of choices of places to eat at all ranges of prices.... so have a great time

Hi Skiddy

Hope you had a good Quartorze Juillet. We ate in L%26#39;Oeil Le Resto near the river in the Ville Basse. There were 14 of us and they gave us the whole top floor. It%26#39;s just an ordinary restaurant, nothing fancy but a proper fRench experience.

The weather during july was too hot for me, no pleasing some people.

I%26#39;m out again in september but my wife is visiting later this month for one week.

All the best
