Itinerary

Planning a family (2+2) trip and would like input on this itinerary:

London 3 days

Normandy (WW II sites)3 days

Bordeaux 3 days

Lake Como, Italy 3 days.

What is the best way to get to Normandy from London? For the Bordeaux to Milan trip, can train(s) be taken the entire way? If so, how many and how long would it take? Would it be better to fly? Is the cost much different? Is it worth the time it to take the train for the scenery?
