One night in Paris...it needs to be one to remember!

Please help - I need a night to remember in Paris!

I%26#39;m coming to the city on the last weekend in August with 3 friends. I want to be able to impress them with a great saturday night out.

My ideal night would be a couple of bars with terraces, some live music and a smokey atmospheric Jazz bar to finish. Can anyone recommend an area or some great bars where will will have a night to remember?

They don%26#39;t allow smoking in restaurants any longer in Paris. I am not sure whether they allow it in bars or not.

Hopefully someone else on TA knows the answer to this one.

I can%26#39;t help with your %26quot;fantasy%26quot; night as I don%26#39;t go to bars (except the Hemingway Bar at the Ritz once and the Metro bar in the 14th (which I really like by the way). It is a sports bar with delicious, inexpensive food, TV%26#39;s, and great service. They have a drink which combines beer and proseco which is to die-for good.
