Biarritz @ start of october

Hi

will be in biarritz first weekend in october and need accomodation.

It seems this date is already season closed for a lot of places (mostly campsites)

Is it better to wait for some last minute deals or book now? any tips?

i see a latin film festival is on while i%26#39;m there

i have no transport so i relay on public transport, looking for somewhere nice and relaxed nice food and have fun, prob splitting my 5 days stay between france and spain or shall i just take a day trip across?

Thanks

I%26#39;m not sure about accommodation in Biarritz; maybe someone else can help with that. Most, if not all, campsites in SW France will probably be closed in October. My recommendation is that you split the trip between Spain and France instead of taking a day trip to Spain. In October you%26#39;ll find more people and action on the Spanish side. There is plenty to see and do on the French side, of course, but things get much, much calmer after summer, especially at night (maybe spend Friday and Saturday in Spain and the rest in France?). Also public transport on the Spanish side is better, at least in my opinion. Distances are greater and more people depend on cars on the French side. You%26#39;ll really need to research where you want to go and when beforehand if you are going to use public transport, especially if you can%26#39;t get there by train.

I hope that helps your planning a little.

Early October is a REALLY nice time to be in Biarritz.

Most hotels, guest houses and self-catering are open - check out the lists on this site, with handy reviews.

Biarritz has a good bus network, including the short hop to Bayonne.
