Overnight stay / champagne tours in reims

Hi -

My travel group (7 adults, 1 child) would like to go to Reims for an overnight stay and visit to some champagne houses. We plan on having our own cars.

Can anyone recommend:

1. A nice hotel in the area - we don%26#39;t want to spend a fortune, but would like a nice place.

2. A good lunch/dinner spot

3. What champagne houses to visit and do we need reservations?

Try the Hotel de la paix in reims town centre. its fabulous - there is a car park at a cost of EURO 10 per day. it was the best hotel i saw when i visited.
