Tourist entry fee?

Someone has just told me that I will be charged an entry fee at the airport when I arrive in France. Is this true? My understanding is that all of these types of fees are included in my airfare.

Your understanding is correct - if there is an airport fee, it will have been assessed as part of your ticket charge. Certainly, I%26#39;ve never been charged a fee on actual arrival, in Paris or anywhere else (just think what a nightmare it would be if all airports did that!)

I%26#39;ve never paid it either. Apparently there are some countries that do, Mexico and some in Africa, but I%26#39;ve never been anywhere that does.

thanks for your reply.

The only country where I have had to pay an entry fee is Turkey. That was about ten years ago; I do not know if they still charge it. I have been to several countries, mostly in the Caribbean, where they charge a Departure Tax.

Having arrived in and left France many many times over the last 15 years, I can confirm there is no Entrance Fee.
