Hotels

Hi. We need a hotel for next June convenient to Bayeux and the Coast. Does anyone have any opinions on these:

Le Lion D’OR (BAYEUX)

Hotel de LA Marine(ARROMANCHES)

LA Rosiere (TRACY SUR MER)

Domaine De L’HOSTREIERE

LA Pecherie (COURSEULLES SUR MER)

LE Clos Normand (ST AUBIN SUR MER)

Holiday Inn Caen CITY CENTER (CAEN)

LE Bristol

Otelinn REST. LE MONTGOMERY

We need a room that is clean, has a bathroom and bath, and is non-smoking. Price is secondary to quality.

Thanks for any advice.

For Bayeux, check out the Churchill.

Cat: Any thoughts about the places ON the list would be very helpful. THANKS

Sorry; I don%26#39;t know any of those or I would have commented.

In spite of its 3 stars, I never found the Lion d%26#39;Or to be very pleasant. La Marine in Arromanches is a 2-star hotel, nothing fancy, except for the location: it%26#39;s right on the water, across the square from the museum (If you choose this one, specify a room with view of the sea). I don%26#39;t know the others, but I would not stay in Caen (too big, too hard to get in and out). In Bayeux, the Hotel d%26#39;Argouges is a charming, quiet hotel in a classy building.

When do you intend to visit. If it%26#39;s during the week around 6th I would check availability before you do anything as most hotels in the area are fully booked at that time already. So no point in pondering which you would prefer if they%26#39;re all full!
