Place Du Tertre vs Nouvelle Athenes

I will be visiting the Sacre Coeur towards the end of the day and looking for a place to have dinner.

I am tossed between eating around the Place Du Tertre or going further to Nouvelle Athenes area.

1)Anyone have any opinions between the two?

2)Is it worth visiting Nouvelle Athenes area?

3)Any particular restaurant recommendations? I%26#39;m interested in keeping with french cuisine with no reservations needed and casual place. But, if there%26#39;s something worth trying that is not french, I%26#39;m all ears too.

4)Is it worth walking from Place Du Tertre to Nouvelle Athenes or to train it?

Sorry for all the q%26#39;s!

I don%26#39;t know about where to eat, although I saw quite a few nice cafes around Abbesses... did you see this article?

Place du Tertre may be the ultimate tourist stop in Paris. There are several restaurants on Place du Tertre facing the square. It%26#39;s not necessary to have a reservation. We enjoyed Chez la Mere Catherine, but it%26#39;s really more about seating availabilty when you want to eat. Le Poulbot is a very small restaurant located a couple of blocks down rue Norvin then left on bis rue Poulbot, and one of our favorites, but reservations are usually needed. However, it fun to people watch on Place du Tertre.

Sorry, I%26#39;m not familiar with Nouvelle Athenes.

Nouvelle Athenes is very different. Place du Tertre receives many many tourists, so i wouldn%26#39;t recommend eating on the square itself.

Nouvelle Athenes receives fewer visitors, is a nice upscale area, it is worth to toake a look at the PMusée de la Vie romantique, set in a beautiful small garden/courtyard . Don%26#39;t miss the rue des Martyrs. The rest of the Nouvelle Athenes, it depends, if you are just in Paris for a few days, i would just visit if you are looking for a true parisian area with no tourists, otherwise there are no major buildings but i still love the areaSquare d%26#39;orleans is where Chopin used to live (closed on the week-ends)

raphy, I%26#39;m hurt. We are tourists, and proud to be tourists. You don%26#39;t want anyone to eat dinner with my lovely wife and myself while in paris:-) We are quiet, polite and really try to follow the rules of French culture.

Nouvelle Athenes sounds like an intriguing neighborhood. But, we wouldn%26#39;t want to ruin it.

What is the emoticon for tongue in cheek?
