An afternoon in Paris

on Thursday I have a meeting in Paris. Hopefully I%26#39;ll be finished by 1pm, giving me a few hours free before getting back to Gare du Nord at 5.45 for the eurostar.

I%26#39;m thinking of getting a taxi to Musee du Quai Branly, then walking back to Gare du Nord, possibly via Ile de Paris.

Any thoughts, suggestions? Apparently the weather will be rainy - but I%26#39;ll be armed with an umbrella, walking shoes and a foolishly romantic notion that walking in the rain could be fun....

I%26#39;ve been to the Louvre, Musee d%26#39;Orsay, Pompidou Centre, Eiffle Tower and the big department stores in previous visits.

If you%26#39;ve been to several museums already, indeed the Musee du Quai Branly is a good choice.

Walking back from there to Gare du Nord will take time. Best would be to get a taxi or the Metro.

The museum is close to the Eiffel Tower, facing Trocadero (on the other bank). Walking back to the 2 islands Ile de la Cité and Ile St Louis will probably take 45 minutes. From there to gare du nord, you can add another 30 minutes at least. If I was you I would spend more time in the museum itself.
