7 Days in Paris

Hi all. I am trying to plan a 7 day trip to Paris for the middle of September. We will be landing Saturday mid-morning and departing the following Saturday afternoon. I am looking for help on planning a very loose intinerary. This is our first trip to Paris so we would like to see the obvious 1st trip to Paris things (Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Louvre...). We also like to fit in the Picasso museum and Versailles. Any suggestions for a good plan? We would also welcome any tips for first timers. Thanks in advance!

Get a copy of Eyewitness %26quot;Top Ten Paris%26quot;.

Then, take a one page map of Paris and highlight all the places you%26#39;d like to visit. Figure on a neighborhood and museum, or two, per day. Note that some museums are closed on Mondays, others on Tuesdays.

Versailles could take half a day or a full day, depending on how much time you want to spend there and how much there you want to see.

If the weather is favorable, l%26#39;Opentour is a terrific way to enjoy the scenery and get around to the major sights and attractions.

First, go to the search box and type in itinerary, and spend some time reading the different threads. I would say in the last week or so there were several postings on this. Then look at a few guide books and %26quot;map out%26quot; more or less what you want to do each day. Then type in your loose itinerary and others will advise you on it. Guide books will tell you what is closed which days (d%26#39;Orsay and Versailles on Mondays; Louvre Tuesdays, and some museums are open some nights.)
