Hi, I noticed in other posts saying that there is a train station in the CDG Airport that can take people straight to Avignon. Can someone please give me some more info on this?
Is the train station far from the airport terminal and is there a shuttle there?
Do I need to book the train ticket in advance?
Any detail is appreciated
thanks !

this an option : go to
easycdg.com/pages/cdg_airport_accesspag.htm then clic on train
or if you have fluent in french, use the french website
www.cdgfacile.com then clic on accès aéroport then train TGV then you have a map (plan) of the station, not available on the english site
to buy your tickets, use the website (in french)
www.voyages-sncf.com the enter on depart : aeroport cdg2 tgv (95) arrival : avignon tgv (84)
your age, how many people, one way or return, your comfort class 1 or 2, then clic on continue, you%26#39;ll get the trains timetables together with the prices. Choose your preference then choose your seat(s) and clic on continue...You have to fill the columns and indicate that you want to withdraw your tickets at the counter. Next you pay with your credit card and you print your reservation confirmation. Should work. I told you to use the french website of voyages sncf because i think it%26#39;s not possible to do that on the english site. Bon courage ...

Follow the excellent advice given by philpetrus above. Note however that you%26#39;ll want to book the train as early as possible to obtain the best price and fares (up to 90 days in advance).
The trip from CDG to Avignon TGV takes about 3 hours.
