Where to Stay?

We want to spend three days in Normandy, visiting the Invasion Beaches, Bayeux, and MSM. We will be driving up from Paris.

We are looking for a hotel where we can stay for the three days and be comfortable, and from which we can go to these places each day.

We will be traveling in June, 2009.

Any suggestions?

THANKS

Bayeux is probably your best bet, or somewhere in that area. It%26#39;s very close to the D-day beaches, but a bit of a drive to MSM (approx 1.5 hours, though, so not TOO bad!!)

Wherever you choose I suggest that if you are coming in early June you book pretty quickly as many of the hotels near the D-Day beaches have been booked for several months as next year is the 65th anniversary.

I have sent you a private message.

About 15 minutes south of Bayeux, near Villers-Bocage, is a great B%26amp;B... La Ferme du Pressoir....

We stayed there in November 2004, and it was great! We%26#39;re returning this November for a week... Way, way comfortable and relaxing....

Great location....! We also did the beaches and MSM.

Odile is the owner, and is simply the best! It%26#39;s a Rick Steve%26#39;s recommendation for %26quot;Near Bayeux%26quot; in his %26quot;France 2008%26quot; book. Book now!

I recommend Bayeux too: it is easy to get too, it is big enough to have a wide choice of restaurants and hotels, but not so big that driving in and out would be time-consuming.
