I have two older (mid70%26#39;s) friends who will be travelling from Paris to Amsterdam by train for the first time and are very worried about making the trip. They dont speak French. I wondered if there is a service ie taxi or limo that would take them from their hotel and onto the correct platform - helping with the luggage. They will leave from Paris Nord.
Thanks

I have used Victor Limousine for several years. Their drivers all speak at least some English, and they are rather offended if not allowed to help bring the luggage to the train/airline desk, etc. VPALimousines (vpalimousines@free.fr); 33.06.62.04.11.12 or 33.06.07.34.84.97.

We just did this. It is extremely easy and you will not need to speak French. You will be taking the Thalys train and you don%26#39;t even need to validate your ticket in a machine before boarding... there is a Thalys information booth right inside the front door of Gare du Nord and she speaks perfect English. This was the easiest train trip we have taken from Paris. Any taxi, or shuttle service will take you to the right place. We gave ourselves about an hour before our train. We didn%26#39;t really need that much time, but I would rather be early than late. You will see the departure boards when you arrive and you will find your train # on it. Keep watching the board and when the time gets closer it will tell you what platform to go to. You have plenty of time to do this... just keep watching the board as your train nears the top. Have fun!

Thanks very much. Based on your advice I am sure that they will have no difficulty.
