Hello,
This is our first time in paris (2 women) our hotel is Elysee Union on 44 Rue de L%26#39;Amiral in the Champs Elysee area. Should we take the metro or taxi since this is our first time? Our flight arrives at 8am.
Thanks in advance for your help on this.

assuming you%26#39;re arriving into Charles de Gaulle airport, i%26#39;d take the RER into gare du nord and take a taxi from there. that%26#39;s what i do most times.

You can also take the Air France shuttle. It leaves every 20 min outside of gate 2A. There are two routes. Make sure you take the bus to the Champs Elysee stop. Review their web site for specifics.

Why are you asking it again?

Some folks are just needier than others.

GOOD ONE, Sign! Thought the question looked familiar but the same questions are posted daily by different travelers. Florida could use the search box and pull up countless old threads and read as much as she wants for more or validated opinions. I think she wants to take the metro but is wary, taxi is what makes sense for two women on their first trip arriving at a busy time of the morning. Plus, they can SPLIT the cost of the taxi. Make up for it by eating a simple dinner that night.

My best friend and I are going for our first time next month (two women) also. We%26#39;ve given it careful consideration and it didn%26#39;t take us too long, thanks largely to the good people of this board, to decide to take a taxi. We speak very little French. We don%26#39;t have extra money to throw around, but given that we%26#39;re sharing the fare, plus the benefit of going directly to our hotel and not having to navigate the train station, or worry about the promptness of a shuttle - it was a no-brainer for us. Have a great trip!
