Gare du Nord: Metro Tickets

When I get off of the Thalys train from Amsterdam, at Gare du Nord, where do I need to go (route) to purchase a %26quot;carnet%26quot; of Metro tickets before boarding the #42 bus? Thanks, Lori

As you walk off the platform you will see to your left a large M sign for the metro above an escalator. Down the escalator is the metro ticket office and also machines where you can get any type of metro tickets.
