Bayeux Hotel~Churchill

If you are looking for a great hotel in Bayeux start and end with the Churchill. Just returned from a three day stay there and it was everything the website said it was and more. Great staff and location. The room was just right for my 16 year old son and I (Room 210, double/twin bed) with extra room to move around; great view of main street out our third floor window. Everything was very clean and the decor was just what I expected with a nice balance of old and new. The breakfast was delicious and again the staff was very pleasant each morning and made us feel like we were guests in their home. It%26#39;s location is right in the heart of the city center, next to restaurants, shops and next to the D-Day tours pick up location. I can%26#39;t say enough good things about this hotel. I%26#39;d stay there again and highly recommend it to everyone.

We stayed there last summer for a couple nights and also enjoyed it. We had two rooms, one was tiny but the other was quite large. The location and staff were fantastic. We are planning to be back next summer and would definitely stay there again.

We are staying there for two nights in early Sept. Doing the WW2 thing. Can you tell me if breakfast is included and if not, how much. Also, do they have a laundry service. This is mid point in a two week trip for us and will need to refresh :) Any suggestions for dinner would be great too....

Thank you

The breakfast was not included in our price; perhaps you could work a package deal with the hotel. The price was 11 Euro. Frankly, a bit high for the USD, but it was convenient, fresh and the service was very good; so decided to pay for the extra. There are other places to eat within a two minute walk and of course lots of pastry shops. We left early a couple mornings, so used the in house option. Would highly recommend the Overlord Tours for the D-Day tours. Excellent guides and well worth the cost; it%26#39;s a full day from 8-6 so be prepared. I don%26#39;t recall laundry service, but I%26#39;m sure the hotel can assist you. As from as restaurants, we just picked ones along the main street by the hotel. Lots to choose from; we didn%26#39;t go fancy on any of them, just casual pizzerrias and pub food.

The Churchill was a great place to stay for all reasons; enjoy your stay. Be glad to assist further if you have more questions.

Thank you, that is great info. I don%26#39;t thing we will eat breakfast at the hotel. I love to get out and explore. And our Canadian dollar does me no favors when I convert to euro. :)

The Churchill is on the main pedestrian street of Bayeux so there are cafés just on the doorstep where you could have breakfast for 4€.
